Aimee Willmott swam about 2200m of racing over those two days, In the last session alone she swam a 400IM (4.34), 200Bk(2.13), 100Bu (1.01.3) and 200Fr (2.02) – Two wins, a silver and 5th in the final event. That was a day after a 400Fr (4.11), 200Bu (2.10), and 200Br (2.31). Pretty impressive swimming at this time of year for the 20yo. She is in great shape heading off to Euros and the Duel.

Forgot about the 400im – best swim of all, so it’s actually 2600m.

Ranomi has a superb start. That is where she got away from the pack in the 50m at Worlds, both Campbell and Halsall were faster than her through the middle of the race.

This video is the perfect example – The first 15m from Ranomi are breath-taking, then the turn over of little Fran Halsall through the middle of the race is incredible, and Campbell’s final 10m was pure top end speed, brilliant race.

Wow,

that youtube account consists of every final at the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona. Moreover, for amateur videos they are nicely filmed and useful for analysing swims unseen on official broadcast before.

For example Fabian Gilot taking advantage of Ervin is clearly visible in the Men’s 4×100-metres relay.
