The Florida Summer Age Group Championships took place from July 11 to July 14 at the Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training Center in Ocala, FL. The state’s finest age-group swimmers went head-to-head.

Saint Petersburg Aquatics had an outstanding performance, winning both the boys and combined meets, showcasing young age-group talents like Brinkleigh Hansen, Cobe Hehenberger, and Christian Guettler.

Hansen swept her individual events, winning the 200, 400, 800, and 1500 freestyle, as well as the 200 butterfly and 400 IM. She was part of the winning 200, 400, and 800 freestyle relays, and the 400 medley relay. She won the 1500 in a time of 17:07.87, nearly 40 seconds ahead of her teammate, Alexandria Clarke.

Hansen ranks number 1 in the country this year among all 13-14 year olds in the 800 and 1500 freestyle and ranks second in the 400 freestyle, only behind fellow Floridian Rylee Erisman.

Hansen is on the US Open Water Junior National Team and will compete at Junior Worlds this September in Alghero, Italy, in the 5k.

Hehenberger won the 200, 400, 800, and 1500 freestyle, as well as the 200 and 400 IM in the 13-14 age group. He ranks number 1 in the country this year in the 13-14 age group in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:03.06.

The Sarasota Sharks also had a strong showing, with performances from 12-year-old Natalia Lesniewska and 13-year-old Sydney Hardy.

Lesniewska won the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 200 breaststroke. Her time of 1:00.65 in the 100 freestyle ranks fourth in the country this year among all 11-12 year olds.

Hardy won the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, and 200 IM. She swam a 2:23.00 in the 200 IM and ranks sixth in the country this year among all 13-year-olds.

I’d revisit your combined team score math. At least 1 of them is off by 1000.

Edit: bolles boys score was off by 1000. I knew something didn’t look right.
