You’re missing Steve Redgrave, British rower. Mijain won his gold five medals at two different weight classes, so it’s technically not the same event. And Redgrave won his five gold medals both in pairs and fours, so his too are not technically in the same event. But I’m willing to say that both men won five straight.

Cole Hocker just pulled a Bobby Finke and won the 1500 gold in a new American Record 3:27.65 and he just crashed LetsRun.

Whoever is producing the water polo coverage has an uncanny knack for going to a close-up or underwater shot right as the team with the ball is in position to score. We thus miss lots of goals live and have to watch them on replay. Could NBC or whoever please hire a producer who knows a little something about water polo, so that the camera can capture goals as they happen?
