USA Diving has announced the selection of eight current Longhorns and UT diving coach Matt Scoggin to represent the U.S. in May at FINA Grand Prix meets in Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
Redshirt senior All-American Maren Taylor will compete in the individual and synchronized three-meter diving events at the FINA Grand Prix event set for May 1-4 in Gatineau, Quebec (Canada). Texas junior Emma Ivory-Ganja will join Taylor as the lone U.S. women’s divers on three-meter at the Gatineau meet.
Freshman Murphy Bromberg will join Taylor and Ivory-Ganja in Gatineau to compete in the platform event. Scoggin will serve as one of two coaches for the Americans in Canada.
Taylor also will compete in three-meter at the FINA Grand Prix event slated for May 8-11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where UT sophomore Meghan Houston will compete in three-meter synchro. Texas freshman Mark Anderson will compete in platform synchro in San Juan.
Freshman Michael Hixon, redshirt junior Will Chandler and sophomore Cory Bowersox will compete in the FINA Grand Prix event set for May 15-18 in Guanajuato, Mexico. Hixon will compete in three-meter while Chandler and Bowersox will compete as a team in three-meter synchro.
