I’m going to login early because I am excited to watch this meet online
I think he’s bored. I too did not believe he was going to retire. What athlete you know retires before 30, that are on top of their game?? Sure some NFL players come to mind, but thats mostly due to injury. He’s seem what the world (le clos) has to offer, and he wants in on that challenge. Plus, in RIO he will cement his legacy and even if he doesnt win individual gold, who cares, he’s The Greatest.
MP press conference was great! MP’s joy of what he is doing really came through. I hope the best for him – he is definitely a contributor and ambassador for the sport.
I see where Universal Sports will interrupt their programming today to present to the viewing audience MP’s swim! Never seen that happen before!
Full version of the press conference.
If I have well understood, he said he weighed 187 pounds in London (84,8 kg), 225 at the peak of his “out of shape” moment since London (102 kg) and 194 last week (88 kg).
Interesting.
He looks fit on the pictures.
He has probably worked very seriously to be back in shape like that. Colorado Springs has been efficient. 🙂

Ok, yeah, sure. But here’s the real question: Is Michael Phelps having fun?
It seems clear he is having fun , no ? look at the pics from the photo vault …
sorry, I was referring to the thousand times he said “I’m having fun” during the press conference. It was supposed to be a joke
