World record-holders Sophie Pascoe, Mary Fisher and Nikita Howarth will head up New Zealand’s Para Pan Pacific Championships roster that will take the pool in California this August.
A squad of 9 swimmers has been announced to represent New Zealand in the competition, 6 women and 3 men.
Both of New Zealand’s Paralympic representatives from the Commonwealth Games team (Pascoe and Howarth) are on the roster, along with Fisher and London Paralympian Rebecca Dubber, coming back from a brief break from competition, according to the New Zealand Swimming website.
All four of those women were on the 2013 IPC World Championships Team, along with male returner Jesse Reynolds.
That returning crew will use their veteran experience to help out the four newcomers to the team: Georgia Gray, Tayla Clement, Daniel Gaulofa and Chris Arbuthnott.
The full roster along with each swimmer’s club is below:
Sophie Pascoe Christchurch
Mary Fisher Wellington
Rebecca Dubber North Shore
Nikita Howarth Cambridge
Jesse Reynolds Hamilton
