Crean Lutheran Girls Wins Third Straight California Academy League Championship

The Crean Lutheran girls won their third straight Academy League Championship tonight. Lindsey Engel and the Eastin sisters, Ella and Emily, were expected to make headlines for the team. It is rumored the Ella was having back pain, and therefore had to scratch out of the finals of the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay. Emily, the younger Eastin sister, ran away with the 200 IM, winning by 12 seconds with a time of 2:04.46. Despite the back pain, Ella won the 100 fly with a 55.79. In the 100 freestyle, Lindsey Engel broke the league record winning the race under 50 seconds, at 49.94. She picked up her second win in the 100 backstroke with a 54.39.

Another notable swim came from Rosalee Santa Ana from Cavalry Chapel. She posted a 4:57.63 to win the 500 freestyle.

Ella Eastin is injured? 🙁
Hopefully everything will be quickly fine for her.
The next summer is very important and as reigning junior world champion, she has a big role to play in the 400 IM at the US nationals in Irvine.
