Tchorz Takes Six At Polish Grand Prix

Alicja Tchorz came away with six victories over three sessions at the Polish Grand Prix in Szczecin over the weekend. In the first of three time final sessions Tchorz won the 200 freestyle (2:03.54) and 200 backstroke (2:12.29) she went on to take the 400 IM (4:46.15) during the second session and on day two took the 100 freestyle (56.54), 100 backstroke (1:02.05) and 200 IM (2:17.93).

European Short Course medalist Alexsandra Urbancyk took home gold three gold herself winning the 50 freestyle (25.49), 50 backstroke (28.71) and 50 butterfly (26.57). Urbancyk’s time in the 50 butterfly puts her into the 17th place spot in the world rankings, tied with Rachael Kelly of Great Britain.

Urbancyk also finished second to Tchorz in the 100 freestyle posting a time of 57.04.

World Championships medalist Radoslaw Kawecki swept the backstroke events taking the 50 (26.25), 100 (55.25) and 200 (1:58.81).
