FINIS, swimmers_snorkel_lFor some, the return of long course season conjures fond memories of rhymic swims interrupted by little else than early sunrises. For others, the long course season is a shutter-inducing training period of far too many meters with far too few turns. Whether you’re thrilled or chilled by the sprawling lanes, long course season is here!

Incorporating the Swimmer’s Snorkel into your workouts this week is an efficient way to build long course endurance. Utilize the snorkel to power through a longer set than you might normally do. Challenge yourself! Do a 1000 free while focusing on your body rotation, or perhaps 5 x 300 at a 1 mile pace. The Swimmer’s Snorkel allows swimmers the ability to focus on stroke technique without the interruption of turning your head to breath. Allowing for a full range of motion this tool can be used for all strokes. Relax in the water and maintain body alignment to improve stroke efficiency.
