Morozov’s time would have been good enough for the silver at last summer’s World Championships with once again only Lacourt having posted a faster time. With both men on top of their game at this point of the season it should shape up to be a great event in Berlin.

Veronika Popova continued her assault on the record book winning the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:55.93. Popova broke her own national record of 1;56.39, which she set yesterday in the semi-finals.

Popova’s time also moves her up in the world rankings putting her into the four place position.

As great as he is at every sprint, I would love to see him train up just a bit for the 200 IM and see what kind of damage he can do.

100 IM at SC Worlds would be enough for me.

My prediction is his 200 IM will not be very good.
Have you seen him how he come home in his 100 free races?

And I agree with HULK, 100 IM suits him much better.

Morozov so fast and so versatile. I think he will be the dominant force in the sprint events in the upcoming years. Olympic gold in the 50 free isn’t so far fetched.
