JOB DESCRIPTION
Washington State University invites applicants for the position of Volunteer Assistant Women’s Swimming Coach. We are seeking a motivated, aspiring coach who will assist coaching a Division I swimming team in the Pac-12 Conference. Duties will include daily on-deck coaching, on campus recruiting, and additional duties as determined by the head coach.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal applicant has experience as a competitive swimmer and as a competitive swimming coach at the club, high school, or collegiate level, as well as a desire to learn and grow as a coach.
SALARY
This is an unpaid, volunteer position, but there will be time around practices to have an additional job for income outside the athletic department that is not associated with this position.

Owning & trading slaves was a feature of NW native tribes – so it is ok – it is Traditional . But though the Haidu liked to use slaves togo get more slaves , mostly they were staple trading items . But being all around nice Washington , except for the bad Chinook & Haidu , it was all nice too.

I know that a position like this can open opportunities down the line but it is difficult for most to live on volunteer wages. I think there is something very wrong with the unpaid internship model. It is important that young coaches(and young professionals) know that their worth.
