18 Olympians headline US Open of Water Polo

18 USA Water Polo Olympians headline a loaded field of competitors for this weekend’s US Open of Water Polo. Taking place at four locations in Southern California, the tournament starts on Friday, July 18 and concludes on Sunday, July 20. The men’s third and first place matches will be played at La Mirada Splash in La Mirada, CA while the women’s third and first place matches will be played at the Brenda Villa Aquatic Center in Commerce, CA. Admission is free to all matches all tournament long.

Fittingly, Villa, a four-time Olympian and 2012 Gold Medalist will be joined by eight of her teammates from the 2012 London Games along with a host of other high level competitors including four-time Olympian Tony Azevedo and longtime Men’s National Team captain Wolf Wigo. A complete list of USA Olympians competing is available below. In addition, some of the top athletes in the college game will be taking part in the three day event.
