WATCH: All of the Day 1 Finals from 2014 Commonwealth Games

As SwimSwam’s Mitch Bowmile outlined late on Thursday night on the first day of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the swimming was very, very good. In fact, it was historically good, and really elevated the swimming portion of this multi-sport event from what we’ve seen in past editions, and certainly from what we saw in Delhi in 2010.

Here, we bring you all of the day 1 medal finals from the 2014 Commonwealth Games, including the Australian 400 free relay World Record and Hannah Miley’s first gold for Scotland at this year’s hosted event.
