Aalborg Elite Break Another Danish Relay Record

DAt the Danish Western Championships, following Mie Nielsen’s National Record as an individual in the 200, she was a part of the Aalborg 400 medley relay that broke the Short Course Meters National Record for club teams on Sunday.

Nielsen combined with Louise Dalgaard, Mathilde Hvid, and Julie Levisen for a 4:00.21 in the short course meters race.

The splits:

Nielsen – 57.35
Dalgaard – 1:08.6
Hvid – 59.7
Levisen – 54.3

Here are more signs that Nielsen is feeling healthy again headed into the European Short Course Championships that Denmark hosts in December, and is thusly interested in a good performance: her leadoff time was just six-tenths from her National Record in the 100 back that was done in December at the World Short Course Championships. To get that close to perhaps her best National Record at a meet that is simply a regional event is very, very good.

The Danish women will have a target this winter on the European Record of 3:49.87 that they set in Istanbul.

This is the same foursome that a few weeks ago broke the National club record in the 200 medley relay as well.
