ACAD’s Hayley Griesser Gives Verbal Commitment to Kentucky for 2017-18

Hayley Griesser, a senior at Marian Central Catholic High School in Lake in the Hills, Illinois, has made a verbal commitment to join the University of Kentucky Wildcats next year. While Griesser doesn’t swim for her high school, she competes year-round for Academy Bullets Swim Club.

Griesser is a fly/back specialist who had a stellar junior year. Between short-course and long-course season, she improved her personal bests in every single event. At the end of the summer, Griesser dropped nearly 2 full seconds in prelims to final in the 200 fly at NCSA Summer Swimming Championships.

Her top times include:

SCY LCM
50 back 28.63 32.46
100 back 59.22 1:08.41
200 back 2:04.45 2:22.33
100 fly 59.92
200 fly 2:07.54 2:22.58
400 IM 4:34.07 5:15.75

Griesser will join fellow-commits Jaclyn Hill, Lauren Edelman and Nora Fullenkamp in the Kentucky class of 2021.
