Russian Anti-Doping Adviser to Sports Minister Suspended

The chief Anti-Doping Adviser to the head of the Russian Sports Ministry has been suspended after the release of the WADA McLaren report, she Tweeted out on Tuesday.

Natalia Zhelanova, the chief adviser on matters of anti-doping to Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko while further investigations are being done on the findings of the WADA report that unveiled institutionalized, government-sponsored doping in Russia.

The Deputy Minister of Sports Yuri Nagornykh was also suspended by Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Zhelanova also Tweeted out that she “was and remains committed to the fight against doping.”

Earlier in this week, on Sunday, the day before the McLaren report was released, Zhelanova Tweeted at SwimSwam that she “fully supports” a statement by FINA earlier this week that was concerned over USADA and CCES (the American and Canadian anti-doping organizations) calls for a blanket ban for Russia from the Olympics.

She also retweeted several other cautionary Tweets on the day before the report’s release, but has not commented on the matter since. Neither have FINA or the European Olympic Committees – other organizations who felt that the USADA and CCES statements were premature.

The International Olympic Committee has said it is exploring legal options for banning Russia from the 2016 Summer Olympic Games outright, but thus far has stopped short. They have, however, barred Russian Sports Ministry officials from the Olympics and blocked Russia from hosting the 2019 European Games.

DC has a problem . Of the 41 CIA approved ‘moderate militias who have been given TOWS -there is Nour al-din Zenki -the guys that just *** the 13 year old white as a sheet frightened boy. But I think it was France who bombed Manjib.

The drug in widespread use in ME is Captagon. Even civilians have to use it to survive long stretches of horror. A Saudi Prince was caught with 200 kg in Beirut airport.

Back to sport Turkey sacked 245 from The Ministry of Youth & Sport for plotting. Thats 65,000 . And Turkey has a drug problem too. Man – it’s all happening . 🙁

The ‘ole ‘look, we are doing something’ move after the first doing something move wasn’t noticed.

By firing both deputy minister and the anti-doping adviser so quickly, Russia has effectively shown the world that their doping system is indeed state-sponsored. Maybe Putin didn’t directly give the specific order to dope, but clearly many at the top are involved.
