200-yard Freestyle

After winning the 1000-yard freestyle on night one of the AESC Elite Pro-Am, Lindsay Vrooman of the Badger Swim Club returned on night two to win the women’s 200-yard freestyle in dominating fashion, after touching the pads in 1:46.08, more than 2 seconds ahead of second place finisher, Martina Thomas (1:48.76).

On the men’s side, it was a fight to the finish between Darian Townsend and Zane Grothe, but it was Townsend who came out victorious, touching in 1:34.09, just split seconds ahead of Grothe (1:34.97).

100-yard Breaststroke

Breeja Larson was the winner of the women’s event, touching the pads in an impressive time of 58.74, more than 5 seconds ahead of the field.

For the men’s event, it was a race to watch, with Cody MillerMichael Andrew fighting to the finish. At the touch it was Miller (50.82), who broke the 51 second barrier and became the 2nd fastest performer ever in this event, followed closely by Andrew (51.75), who dropped time from his previous 15-16 National Age Group Record and also went under Kevin Cordes‘s 17-18 national age group record and Mike Alexandrov 3rd in 52.91.

100-yard Butterfly

Razorback Aquatic Club got a 1-2 finish in the women’s 100-yard fly event, with teammates Taylor Pike and Luciana Thomas touching in times of 53.78 and 54.99 respectively.

Miguel Ortiz touched first in the men’s 100-yard fly in 45.19, just 0.02 seconds off of his meet record swam last year, Olympian James Feigen touched second (47.18) and Joseph Short was 3rd in a lifetime best of 48.94.

400-yard IM

The duo of Razorback Aquatic Club returned to the pool for another 1-2 finish in the women’s 400-yard IM, but this time it was Thomas with the first place touch (4:18.95), almost 4 seconds ahead of Pike (4:22.86).

Townsend also returned to the pool for another victory of the night, dominating the men’s event, touching in 3:55.76, more than 5 seconds ahead of the field.

400-yard Free Relay

Razorback Aquatic Club had yet another victory for the night, with the team of Thomas, Haley Pike, Thomas and Pike touching in 3:29.58, more than 4 seconds ahead of second place finishers, Charger Aquatics (3:22.77).

Host team, American Energy Swim Club took the victory in the men’s event when the team of Jonathan YeLuke DavisJosh Davis and Short (3:09.65), out touched 2nd place finishers, the Northwest Arkansas Aquatics Team (3:10.60).
