After Western Kentucky University announced that it was suspending it’s men’s and women’s swimming & diving programs for 5 years, their signed and committed recruits were left to scramble to figure out where they would swim this coming fall.
Among those recruits is Houston-based swimmer Asia Quentin, who decided that she will enroll at the University of Arkansas after signing a Letter of Intent to go to WKU in the early signing period.
Quentin should immediately contribute to a Razorback butterfly group that graduated two of its three best at the end of last year. She’s been 55.70 in the 100 fly in 2:02.20 in the 200 fly (though both times were done as a sophomore).
Quentin hasn’t competed yet in the 2014-2015 season, saying that she’s not injured but has taken some time off for personal reasons, so her times have not changed since she committed to Western Kentucky in the fall.
