Hank Gullick, 18, Charger Aquatics: 50y free (20.49) – Swimming unattached for Albuquerque’s Eldorado High School at the New Mexico NMAA State Swimming and Diving Championships, Gullick won both the 50 free (20.51) and 100 free (44.96) and was a member of Eldorado’s winning 200 free and 400 free relays, both of which set the state and pool records. Gullick led off the 200 free relay with his fastest-ever 50, 20.49.
Macie Beairsto, 17, Springfield Aquatics: 200y free (1:50.06) – Representing Glendale High School at the MSHSAA Girls State High School Championships in St. Peters, Missouri, Beairsto finished a close second in the 200 free with a best time by .23. She also placed second in the 100 fly and was on both Glendale’s freestyle relays.
Patrick Frith, 16, New South Swimming: 1000y free (9:17.19) – Frith won the men’s 1000 free on the first day of competition at the NCS Senior Short Course Championships at Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, North Carolina. Frith dropped 15.5 seconds to earn his first Winter Juniors cut in the event. He won the 500 and 1650 as well, and finished the weekend with PBs in the 50/100 back, 100/200 fly, and 200/400 IM in addition to the 500/1000/1650 frees.
Mason Nyboer, 14, Tiger Aquatics: 1650y free (16:06.08) – Nyboer dropped 48 seconds and won the boys’ 14-and-under 1650 free at the Louisiana 13 and Over Short Course State Swimming Championships hosted by SPAR Swimming. Nyboer also went best times in the 1000 free, 50 back, and 400 IM.
Aria Bernal, 15, Katy Aquatic Team For Youth: 100y back (53.79) – Bernal finished second in the 100 back with a best time while representing Katy Cinco Ranch High School at the Texas 6A State Meet. Bernal went a PB by .75 and was 1.2 seconds faster than she had been at the 6A meet last year. She also led off KACR’s 200 medley relay and 400 free relays with best times of 25.61 and 52.18, respectively.
Hannah Whiteley, 18, Mason Manta Rays: 100y back (53.38) – Swimming for Springboro High School at the Ohio Southwest District Meet, Whiteley lowered her own meet and pool records, winning the 100 back with a third-best-ever time of 53.38. She did put up a lifetime best in the 100 fly (54.69), good enough for second place.
Jolee Liles, 15, Crawfish Aquatics: 200y back (2:03.63) – Liles won the girls’ 15-16 200 back at the Louisiana 13 and Over State Championships with a best time by nearly 2 seconds. She also won the 200 IM and 400 IM, and finished the weekend with new times in the 100 free, 200 back, and 400 IM.
Liam Sullivan, 14, Mount Desert Island YMCA: 100y breast (58.77) – A freshman at Mount Desert Island High School, Sullivan won both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the Maine Boys Class B State Swimming & Diving Championships. His breast was a best time by .06, while the IM was 1.6 seconds faster than his previous time. Sullivan swam breast (26.32) on MDI’s 200 medley relay and anchored their 400 free relay (48.52).
Alex Miller, 14, YMCA Hub Fins: 100y fly (50.56) – Swimming at the Mississippi Swimming Short Course State Championships hosted by Shockwave Aquatic Team at Tupelo Aquatic Center, Miller won the boys’ 13-14 50/200 free, 100 back, and 100/200 fly, setting the LSC records in the 100 back and 100 fly. Miller finished the meet with best times in the 50/100/500 free, 100 back, and 100/200 fly.

2.02.37 in the 200 back. Fastest 11-year-old US girl ever. 2nd fastest ever is Regan Smith in 2.03.82.
2.05.58 in the 200 fly. Fastest 11-year-old US girl ever. Already #4 all-time in the 11/12 ranks.
