Air Force’s Maria Schroeder Sets School Record in 100 Fly in Winter Nationals prelims

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force freshman Maria Schroeder set a new school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.57 at the USA Swimming National Championships in Greensboro, N.C. Schroeder’s time came in the morning session as she placed 25th in heat. Sophomore Genevieve Miller placed in 18th in the finals of the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:44.41.

A school-record eight Falcons qualified to compete in the three-day event, which continues through Saturday. Joining Schroeder and Miller, senior Kim Davis, junior Sara Menke, sophomore Kira Schlosberg and freshmen Jinan Andrews, Elise Hart and Brianna Mount  are representing the Academy at the prestigious event.
