Cade Auerbach, from Johns Creek, Georgia, has decided to join his older brother, Knox, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, next season as part of the Alabama men’s swim team.
Cade swims for Northview High School and Dynamo Swim Club. In addition to Knox, who is an Olympic Trials qualifier, Cade also has a younger brother who swims, named Campbell.
Cade is a middle-distance specialist and captains the Northview Varsity Swim Team, where he is a school record-holder in the 200 and 400 free relays. In addition to his brother Knox, Northview High School has a history of producing freestyle talent, including one of the most versatile men’s freestylers in NCAA history, Matias Koski.
His best times are:
Event | SCY | LCM |
50 Free | 21.92(r) | 25.47(r) |
100 Free | 47.62 | 54.34 |
200 Free | 1:41.66 | 1:58.96 |
100 Fly | 51.93 | 57.81 |

Cade still has some work to do before he becomes a reliable scorer for the Crimson Tide, but he is quickly moving in the right direction. All of his best times listed above were swum at either his last short course championship meet (December 2015), or his most recent long course championship meet (August 2016).
Cade joins Sam DiSette, Alex Robinson, Andrey Tretyakov, Christian Strycker, Jack Blake, Josh Lenzmeier, Richard Miksi, Tyler Sesvold, Andrew Shea and Michael Burris as part of the Alabama men’s team Class of 2021.
