Wonder if USA would’ve been able to get a little closer to China if everyone had their hat in the ring.
Nah. Don’t think Walsh or Cox would have been 1:55. The only one who could have would have been Margalis
could have been like huske and done both
and that worked out so well for her. Including 100 and 50 free later in meet.
I firmly believe Huske cost herself a spot on the 4×1 by racing 6 200s in the middle of the meet in events that she didn’t have a great shot in.
oxyswim – I agree with you but it was only 5 200’s. She didn’t make finals of 200 free. However it may have also cost her and the US a silver medal in Tokyo as they didn’t have confidence or a reason to use her on 4×100
