Alexsondra Peters Is Inducted Into The Kenneth A. Walker Hall Of Fame

On January 27, Alexsondra Peters was inducted into the new Kenneth A. Walker Athletic Hall of Fame at Concordia University Irvine (CUI).

A graduate of Concordia University Irvine in 2012, alumnus Alexsondra Peters of Pensacola, Florida is inducted into the new Kenneth A. Walker Athletic Hall of Fame at Concordia University Irvine on January 27, 2017. During her athletic career on the women’s swim team at Concordia, Peters was named NAIA National Swimmer of the Year in 2011; three-time NAIA National Champion 2011, and nine-time NAIA All-American 2011-2012. She also holds school records for five individual events and two relays. Today, Peters is an Aquatics Director at a Florida swim school. Peters graduated from CUI in 2012, during her athletic career with the university her was named NAIA National Swimmer of the Year in 2011, three-time NAIA National Champion 2011 and nine-time NAIA All-American 2011-12. She also holds school records for five individual events and two relays.

Although the private university has had an Athletic Hall of Fame honoring past athletes, the unveiling marked the first physical location for the Hall. Established by Kenneth A. Walker’s daughter—CUI alumnus and Dean of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Dr. Terilyn Jackson of Newport Beach—the endowment includes the naming of the Hall of Fame, as well as a $50,000 renewable scholarship awarded annually to a student-athlete who continues to demonstrate excellence both on and off the court, regardless of sport, gender, or year. The first recipient is expected to be named beginning academic year 2018.
