Below are all the videos from the fourth day of swimming at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Russia’s Maria Astashkina claimed her third gold of the competition with a win in the 200m breaststroke. At the touch she was a 2:23.06 to claim gold. With that time she is now ranked sixth in the world this season.
That was Russia’s second gold of the night as Daniil Pakhomov won the 200m fly in 1:57.04. The win gave him his second medal of the competition after taking home the bronze in the 50 fly earlier in the meet.
In the men’s 100m freestyle 18-year-old Duncan Scott of Great Britain won his fourth medal of the competition after touching the wall in 49.43 to take home the gold. Scott has been essential on the British relays all competition long, but finally got a shot at individual glory.
The men’s 200m IM went to Austria’s Sebastian Steffan in 2:01.39. Following that, another Austrian swimmer claimed gold as Caroline Pilhatsch rocked a 28.60 50m backstroke to come out on top.
Andrius Sidlauskas of Lithuania scared the 50m breaststroke junior world record with his victory today. Stretching out into the wall, Sidlauskas stopped the clock at 27.81, just 0.07 seconds shy of Peter Stevens’ record.
Italy’s Sveve Schiazzano won the last individual event of the evening, claiming gold in the 1500m freestyle. There the 15-year-old was a 16:40.17 to set a games record.
The men’s 4x200m freestyle relay and the women’s 4x100m medley relay both went to Russia to round out the night.
