It’s almost here – 2013 RCP Tiburon Mile will be fast

In open water swimming there are some stand out races for sure.  The Midmar Mile in South Africa, the Waikiki Roughwater Swim, the La Jolla Rough Water Swim, the Manhattan Marathon Swim, and Chicago’s Big Shoulders are just a small number of great races. But there’s only one race in the USA that has, $10,000 in prize money for both the men and women – the RCP Tiburon Mile.

Check out this cool video from the 2012 event produced by SwimSwam’s Gold Medal Mel Stewart and you’ll get a good feeling about the excitement of this race.  And if you are in the San Francisco bay area (or you want to get there for Sunday’s race) you can still enter all the up to race day – check the RCP Tiburon Mile website.
