Olympian Amy Van Dyken-Rouen made an appearance on the Today Show this morning in New York. Host Matt Lauer and Van Dyken-Rouen discussed her social media presence, feeling reflexes in her legs for the first time since her accident, the progress she has made since her accident, and her fundraising efforts for spinal injuries.
“We don’t know what this means, but change is good. I will grab (the sense of hope), and I will not let that go.”
She also joked about stealing the Today Show’s dog, Wrangler.
“I love him, if he goes missing, he may be in my purse!”
Absolutely fantastic news! Even is she got enough muscle tone to walk with crutches and leg braces, it would be amazingly inspirational!
