WOMEN’S 200 BREAST – FINALS
- Pool Record: 2:04.06
- NCAA ‘A’ Cut: 2:06.58
- 2021 NCAA Invite Cut: 2:10.37
- Anna Elendt (Texas) – 2:06.21
- Letitia Sim (Michigan) – 2:09.72
- Alicia Wilson (Cal) – 2:09.82
This was all Anna Elendt, as the Longhorn completed the breaststroke sweep with a 3.5s victory tonight. Elendt came within striking distance of her lifetime best of 2:06.04, and she’s now the 5th-fastest woman in the NCAA this season.
The real race happened behind Elendt, as Michigan freshman Letitia Sim and Cal’s Alicia Wilson battled it out for 2nd. Sim got her hand on the wall just ahead of Wilson, 2:09.72 to 2:09.82, wand no one else within a second of the top three.

I think Avery Wiseman from Alabama could also be a good person to have on the podcast
We would love to, but the University of Alabama has ignored every contact we’ve tried to make with them for over 2 years.
If you know someone on the team who might be motivated to change that policy, please do have them reach out!
My guess is that the Univ of Alabama had their pride bruised by all the ruckus and SWIMSWAM comments on the hiring/firing in the Margo/Corey fiasco . This edict had to have come down from the highest level but with the stature and wealth of this SEC powerhouse, they can probably dictate what info flows out from the pool deck compared to other athletic departments and swimming programs .
That’s too bad. They have some great swimmers who I’m sure would love a chance at talking about their accomplishments and training methods
I hear there is a pretty good football team & a big match coming up . Priorities .
