Appeal For Wright State Swimming & Diving

Wright State Swimming and Diving is one of the few programs in the country that can say they are represented at the biggest swimming events in the world! My brother, Mitchell Stover, competed at the Olympic Trials in 2016 and aspires to do so in 2020.

WAYS TO DONATE:

His goal is to make the Olympics while representing Wright State University, becoming a role model for younger swimmers to follow in his footsteps. However, his goals and dreams cannot be reached if the team is cut this upcoming season. Donating to keep the Wright State Swimming teams will not only help my brother achieve his goals and dreams, but help to bring awareness to Wright State and the sport of Swimming.

Please donate to save the Legacy of Wright State Swimming and Diving!

I don’t have a swimmer at Wright State, however we were looking at the school before the program announcement came. It’s hard to believe that they are less than 1/2 way to the goal with 2 weeks remaining. The swim community is so large, any donation will add up. I would want the swim community to step up if my child went there, so we have donated what we can.

Why some athletes have to justify themselves while others benefit from the elimination of their sports is sickening. Is men’s basketball at WSU about to put the school on the map? Is there talk of cutting the program due to mediocre performance? Do the athletes add or detract from the student athlete GPA? Does anyone give a damn? How about we let as many sports as possible survive without artificially pumping up the value of one vs all others?
