Arena Celebrates U.S. National Team’s World Championship Dominance with Limited Edition National Team-Themed Suit and Full Line Racing Suit Special

In celebration of the U.S. National Team’s dominant performance at the FINA World Championships in Barcelona this summer, Arena USA is proud to offer the National Team-Themed Limited Edition POWERSKIN Carbon-Pro Mark 2. The red, white and blue racing suit will first be available to the American public through www.arenausa.com and at select Arena dealers on November 1. In recognition of Team USA’s accomplishments in Barcelona, Arena USA is also launching limited time “celebration pricing,” on its comprehensive line of racing suits, including the Limited Edition.

“I’ve just started racing in the Carbon-Pro Mark 2, and I love the way it supports my body,” said bronze medalist and U.S. National Team swimmer Caitlin Leverenz. “The U.S. National Team suit gives me the benefit of the Carbon-Pro technology while showing my pride in representing the USA. I’ve never seen a suit like this before – it’s truly a special suit and it makes a bold statement!”

Arena debuted the limited edition POWERSKIN Carbon-Pro Mark 2 on members of the U.S. National Swim Team at the FINA World Championships in August. The suit, available in limited quantities, features a red, white and blue pattern and was designed to celebrate Arena’s eight-year sponsorship as the exclusive outfitter of the U.S. National Swim Team.

“I am so excited to be able to debut this suit in Barcelona,” said U.S. National Team swimmer Megan Romano. “I take a lot of confidence in knowing that I’m wearing the fastest suit in the market, and I love the patriotism of the red, white and blue design.”

The Limited Edition POWERSKIN Carbon-Pro Mark 2 features the same ground-breaking technology as the original Mark 2, offering intelligent compression to increase support and control where needed, power return to provide a “spring back” action on dives, kicks and turns, and superior drag reduction and water repellency.

In addition, to celebrate the summer’s success, Arena is also offering limited-time celebratory pricing on its full-line of best-in-class racing suits

“As the exclusive outfitter of the U.S. National Team, we wanted to do a fun promotion to celebrate their success this year and also recognize our 8-year partnership,” said Tim McCool, Vice President and General Manager of Arena North America. “By offering these medal-themed discounts, we found a way to include swimmers across America in the celebration.”

Beginning November 1, 2013 and going until the end of the year, athletes will enjoy the below, medal-themed discounts on Arena’s best-in-class suits:

Team USA captured 16%  of all medals won in Barcelona, so swimmers will enjoy 16% off the POWERSKIN Carbon-Pro Mark 2

Team USA captured an incredible 22% of total gold medals, so Arena USA is offering 22% off the popular REVO-Plus

Team USA won 14% of all silver medals, so the POWERSKIN ST is available at 14% off

To take advantage of the above discounts and/or purchase a Limited Edition National Team-Themed Suit, consumers should visit www.arenausa.com

And Megan Romano’s speed (at least for us old guys).

Seriously, why are any guys buying these suits? Yeah, the National Team members (note it was only woman quoted) get these suits for free, but all of the male suits are so overpriced relative to their speed impact, for the guys not contending for a spot on the Olympic or World Championship team, the pricing is just out of whack.

Not until we bring back the rubberized glory of the B70 full body Nero Comp will we have a suit that delivers speed value and pocketbook value.
