Phoenix Swim Club’s Allie Worrall is headed to Nebraska next fall. A senior at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Worrall is fresh off a Division I state title in the 100 free; she won the Arizona State High School Swimming & Diving Championships on November 7, clocking a 51.79 (but went a best time in prelims with 51.61). Worrall was also runner-up in the 50 free (23.85 in finals, 23.77 in prelims) and anchored both Xavier College Prep’s 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Worrall had a breakout year in 2015, picking up best times in all her top events. In addition to the personal bests swum at this month’s Arizona high school state meet, she earned new times over the summer at her championship meets. At Western Zone Sectionals in Mt. Hood, Oregon, Worrall made finals in the 50 free when she clocked a 26.95 in prelims to earn her first Winter Juniors cut. She also went 1:06.65 for a PB in the 100m fly. A week later, at Arizona Swimming Long Course Senior Championships, she went 59.27 and placed fourth in the 100m free; she was also a B finalist in the 50 free and 100 fly.
Worrall’s best times are:
SCY | LCM | |
50 free | 23.77 | 26.95 |
100 free | 51.61 | 59.27 |
200 free | 1:53.94 | 2:10.03 |
100 fly | 57.75 | 1:06.65 |

There are 12 freshmen on the roster this year, and Worrall will join a solid group of commits in the Nebraska class of 2020:
- Abbey Greeneway
- Abigail Knapton
- Carla Gonzalez-Garcia
- Gwen Worlton
- Samantha Hedrick
- Savannah Savitt
- Shea Bougie
