Coach’s Corner
“It was awesome to get a win in our home opener,” head coach Brandt Nigro said. “After a year of competing in front of limited fans, we had a packed house at our home pool. I know that the Cadets felt the tremendous support from our supporters from the pool deck and it undoubtedly played a huge role in tonight’s win. I think there was a lot to be proud of tonight. We had some great swims across the board and it was exciting to see so many freshmen touch the wall first. On the men’s side, we did a great job at sticking to our plan and keeping our foot on the gas throughout the competition. The women did a great job at staying tough in some crucial parts of the meet and were able to pull out a pair of great results, which was awesome to see. We’re looking forward to continuing what is the toughest schedule in program history, and things are going to start picking up soon.”

What’s Next
The women’s team will prepare to host Rutgers on Thursday, Oct. 7 for a dual meet at Crandall Pool. Following the home meet, Army will head to Boston College to face off against the Eagles on Friday, Oct. 8. The action at the Margot Connell Recreation Center is set for a 5 p.m. start.
