Asia Quentin Brings Versatility to Western Kentucky

The Western Kentucky University (WKU) women’s swim team gains a valuable talent, as Asia Quentin commits to the Hilltoppers for next season.  Quentin, out of Houston, TX, has posted some quality times in events ranging from the 100 freestyle, to the 200 backstroke, to the 200 butterfly, which will provide the influx of versatility WKU will need with seven seniors set to graduate this Spring.

Quentin had an impressive 2013 NCSA Juniors meet, clocking some fast SCY times, such as 54.10 in the 100y freestyle and 56.90 in the 100y butterfly.  She also swam the 100y butterfly event at the 2014 University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region 6 – 4A Championships this past February, earning second place in a time of 57.58.

For her long course events, Quentin has produced the following times:

100m butterfly – 1:05.32
200m butterfly – 2:27.27
400m IM – 5:26.23
100m freestyle – 1:02.48
200m freestyle – 2:14.95

Quentin joins recently announced commit Rachel Pelzek on her journey to Bowling Green, KY to join the Hilltoppers.
