Atlantic 10 Announces 2021 Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference Teams

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.– The 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s and Women’s Academic All-Conference teams were announced Wednesday, comprising student-athletes based on their performance in the pool, as in the classroom.

To be nominated, swimmers and divers must have a GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) for their entire academic career. The teams were selected through voting conducted by the league’s Sports Information Directors.

Making up the Men’s Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference team are Davidson’s Kilian Quinn, Mitchell Stanek, and Daniel Valmassei, George Mason’s Drake Moretz, George Washington’s Marek Osina and Emils Pone, Massachusetts’ Casey Ransford, St. Bonaventure’s Maciej Danilewski and Tjaard Krusch, and Saint Louis’ Janssen Gamilla.

The Women’s Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference team consisted of Davidson’s Siena Senn and Shelby Stanley, Duquesne’s Emma Brinton, Hanna Everhart and Clare Flanagan, George Mason’s Jacquee Clabeaux, La Salle’s Sara Rizzetto, Rhode Island’s Brooke Kelley, Richmond’s Claire O’Shaughnessy and St. Bonaventure’s Rachel Kimmel.
