Aussie 2017 World C’ships Team Tracker: Day 3 Qualifiers

2017 AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Through 3 days of racing in Brisbane, the list of qualified swimmers for the 2017 World Championships grew longer by just one person today. As a refresher, per Swimming Australia’s selection criteria, a maximum team size of 52 athletes (26 male, 26 female) will be selected for Budapest. First and second place finishers in the ‘A’ final of individual Olympic events in Brisbane qualify for a spot on the roster, provided they swim a time that equals or betters the Swimming Australia qualifying mark listed below:

As was the case with the men’s 200m freestyle last night, today’s 100m backstroke winner, Mitch Larkin, took the gold, but not under the Aussie-mandated qualification time. However, since Larkin has already qualified in the 200m backstroke, he will most likely be discretionarily picked to also swim the 100m event in Budapest.

Here are the Australian swimmers who have notched a qualifying time Day 3, followed by those who earned qualifying marks on days 1 & 2:
