October 31, 2016 – FINA DIVING GRAND PRIX 2016
Teenager Georgia Sheehan of Australia earned home gold in the 3m springboard event (319.70) at FINA Diving Grand Prix in Gold Coast, from October 27-30 to deny China golden sweep.

Team China remained the dominant nation across the four-day competition and earned gold in every single individual and synchronised events, apart from the women’s 3m, in which China with Wang Han earned silver in 276.65 points and Canada’s Mia Vallee bronze (262.75).

The USA and Australia stepped four and three times on the podium respectively with three silver and one bronze for the USA and two silver and one bronze for Australia.

Canada, Singapore and Malaysia were other nations claiming a medal in Gold Coast.

The competition resumes on November 4 in Singapore (SIN) for the final leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2016.
