Christian Trombley, who swims for Baylor Swim Club as well as Baylor School, committed to attend and swim at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. Trombley has been swimming with the Baylor Swim Club/Baylor School since 2011, and has competed at the local, state, and regional levels.
Trombley competed for Baylor School in the 200 IM and 100 breast at the 2015 Tennessee High School Swimming and Diving Championships. His top times include 1:02.80/2:19.32 in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and 2:05.79 in the 200 IM.
The recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and the Patterson Academic Scholarship from Lake Forest College, Trombley will join coach Vadim Tashlitsky’s squad in the fall of 2015. The D3 Foresters are the reigning Midwest Conference champions, and Trombley will be an immediate-impact player who can score in the “A” final of the Midwestern Conference Championships in both breaststrokes and in the “B” final of the 200 IM. The Foresters have a strong breaststroke contingent consisting of current junior Kristofer Korth, freshman Josaiah Clark, and sophomore Christopher Martinez. This should be a great training group for Trombley, who has made enormous progress over the last two years.
Congratulations Christian!
