Behind the Scenes Mix – 2014 USA Swimming Arena Grand Prix Orlando

We take a look a back at last week’s USA Swimming Arena Grand Prix stop in Orlando Florida. Last week featured not only some fast swimming but a wide array of swimmers from around the world. SwimSwam contributor and sport photographer Mike Lewis was on hand to get a unique behind the scenes look at all the action.  From the excitement of the record setting finals swims (seven meet records were set) to the fun of the USA Swimming Foundation’s “Make a Splash” relays we got it covered. Sit back, turn up the speakers and have a look.

Next stops on the USA Swimming Arena Grand Prix Circuit are:  Mesa Arizona April 24 to 26 at the Skyline Aquatic Center; Charlotte, NC May 15 to 18 at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center; and Santa Clara, California June 19 to 22.

It’s a close race on the overall point leader board with Yannick Agnel and Connor Dwyer in a tie for first with 27 points  and Arkady Vyatchanin and Michael McBroom each with 22 points on the men’s side.  For the women is Megan Romano in first (27.5) Katinka Hosszu in second (27), Caitlin Leverenz third (25) and Audrey Lacroix in fourth (14).
