After one season at Indiana University, Cora Dupre has entered the NCAA transfer portal. In her freshman season, Dupre was the Big Ten Champion in the 200 yard free.
Dupre, who originally committed to Texas before swapping her verbal commitment to Indiana, committed to the Hooisers when their sprint group was led by Coley Stickels. Prior to her freshman season, Stickels left to become the head coach at the University of Alabama. At least two members of the Indiana women’s team, Julia Wolf and Morgan Scott, followed him to Tuscaloosa.
Dupre scored 58 points individually at the 2020 Big Ten Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, placing 4th in the 50 free and 1st in the 200 free. She was disqualified for a false start in her 3rd event, the 100 free, in prelims. Those 58 points, even in just 2 individual events, made her Indiana’s 5th-best scoring swimmer at the meet.
Dupre was to enter the 2020 NCAA Championships as the 8th seed in the 200 free, the 12th seed in the 100 free, and the 16th seed in the 50 free prior to the cancellation of that meet.
She leaves Indiana with the 3 fastest 50 frees in program history and the 3 fastest 100 frees in program history.
Best Times in Yards:

She also swam the leadoff backstroke leg on Indiana’s 400 medley relay and the butterfly on Indiana’s 200 medley relay (which was disqualified).

Stickels’ replacement, Jonty Skinner, retired before the end of the season.
She grew up training with the Mason Manta Rays in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her 100 free best time in long course is 56.12, and her 200 free best time in long course is 2:01.47.
She should go to Tennessee where everyone swims fast and has fun.
May she pursue a path that is best for her in all aspects. 👍🏽
I can see this going in a number of directions, but I can honestly see Cora ending up transferring within the B1G and ending up in Columbus with Ohio State. Closer to home, program on the rise, and with her addition she would be competing on a few potential top-3 relays at NCAA championships. Their sprint program has elevated themselves these past few years to where people are starting to take notice, and her addition could solidify an already talented roster. I think Alabama, Tennessee and Texas might still be options, but I see this one shifting closer to her hometown.
Have to sit out a year tho :/
A waiver would be in play.
3 freshman now?
Four
Pro Ian Finnerty is gone too
Where/who is he training with now?
how do you know?
There are others, too.
USC, Tennessee or Alabama
Slide in NC State, UVA, Louisville
Happy to see we narrowed it down for everyone.
I was being sarcastic by adding those schools. I just pulled top 3 teams in the ACC to complete his SEC & PAC 12 picks.
She’s following TEN, UVA and NCS on instagram
Stalking 101
She’s also following OSU swim dive and Alabama swim and dive
And also following Alabama swim dive
She’s also following OSU and Bama
Another IU to Bama transfer maybe?
I think we all know where she’s going ladies and gentleman! Another huge pickup for a Devry squad that is on the rise! Unfortunately it looks like Indiana will “Looze” another swimmer!
