Adam Smale
Adam grew up in Toledo Ohio where he swam for Saint Johns Jesuit High School. He saw success throughout his high school career qualifying for the OHSAA Div. 1 State Championship meet both his junior and senior year on the teams medley relay swimming breaststroke one year and fly the other. Adam committed to Westminster College in 2012.
2012-2013
Adam saw great success in his freshman year at Westminster College as he posted three best times in three top eight performances at the Presidents Athletic Conference championship (James E. Longnecker Invitational) meet. He claimed two sixth places and an eighth for the titans in the 200 breast, 200 individual medley and the 100 breast respectively. Adams efforts earned him a place on the second team All-Conference.
2013-2014
Adam saw a speed bump in the 2013-14 season as he did not capture any personal bests at the conference championship meet. Even with a below expectations performance the sophomore still managed to claim two eighth places in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.
2014-2015
As a Junior Adam returned to the pool with intensity. Fighting an ankle injury that kept him out of the pool for the first two weeks of the duel meet season he entered the conference championship meet with no top eight seed times. Adam surprised everyone but his own team as he claimed three top eight spots in the 400 individual medley and both breast events. Adam finished eighth in the 100 breast, seventh in the 200 breast, and sixth in the 400 I.M. Adams efforts returned him to the All-Conference second team and helped his team win their second championship in three years.
