Alexandra Meyers
Alexandra Meyers is a freestyle specialist at Stanford University. Meyers is originally from the state of Wisconsin, where she swam for the Schroeder YMCA and graduated from the University School of Milwaukee. Born March 22, 1996, Meyers was a member of USA Swimming’s 2013 National Junior Team, and she represented the U.S. at the 2013 World Junior Championships. Meyers is 5’9″ and she has great versatility in her freestyle distances – she has competitive times in events ranging from the 50 freestyle to the 1,650 freestyle, which is a weapon at any collegiate dual meet. In the 2014 recruiting class Meyers was the no. 23 recruit overall according to collegeswimming.com and the top recruit out of the state of Wisconsin. At the time of her commitment Meyers was Stanford’s fifth top-50 recruit and fourth top-25 recruit. Meyers made the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100m freestyle when she was just 16 years old; she mentioned to local media that she was using the meet for experience.

2014-2015
As a freshman Meyers competed at the Pac-12 Championship meet. She finished 20th in the 50 freestyle, 23rd in the 200 freestyle and 25th in the 100 freestyle.
International Competition
Meyers was a member of the U.S. National Junior Team – she earned a silver medal in the mixed 400m freestyle relay (prelims) and a bronze medal as a member of the 400m freestyle relay at the 2013 FINA World Junior Championships.
She qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100m freestyle – she was seeded 102nd and finished 115th.
