Ali DeLoof is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States competitively. She has 3 younger sisters, all of which swam for Michigan: Gabby, Catie, and Jackie. Coming out of high school, Ali was 7-time NISCA All-American, 11-time conference champion, and 3-time MHSAA D-II State runner-up.

2012-2013
DeLoof came in as an impact athlete, scoring in her freshman year at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 10th in the 100-yard Backstroke, as well as 42nd in the 100-yard Freestyle and 43rd in the 50-yard Freestyle. At the NCAA Championships, DeLoof swam on 2 relays, including the 200 medley relay for which she earned NCAA All-American Honorable Mention status.
2013-2014
DeLoof made a lot of improvement in her sophomore year. At Big Tens, she finished 4th in the 100-yard Backstroke, 15th in the 50-yard Freestyle and 18th in the 100-yard Freestyle. At the NCAA champs, she scored in her first individual event, placing 11th in the 100 back and helping the 200 medley relay to another All-American Honorable Mention.
2014-2015
DeLoof had se best season yet as a junior, especially at the conference level. At Big Tens, she finished 2nd in the 100-yard Freestyle (48.32), 3rd in the 100-yard Backstroke (52.70) and 5th in the 50-yard Freestyle (22.36). At the NCAA meet, she finished 25th in the 50-yard Freestyle (22.27), 27th in the 100-yard Freestyle (48.81) and tied for 31st in the 100-yard Backstroke (53.16).
2015-2016
Her senior year, Ali was named a team captain. She also had her best performances at both the Big Ten Champs and NCAA’s. At the Big Tens, she finished 2nd in the 100-yard Backstroke (52.14), 3rd in both the 50-yard Freestyle (22.37) and in the 100-yard Freestyle (47.96), and was a part of the Big Ten champion 400 free relay. At NCAA’s, expecting to have her best showing in the 100 back, she finished 5th in 100-yard Freestyle (47.54), 7th in 50-yard Freestyle (21.99) and 11th in 100-yard Backstroke (51.37), and also swam on 200-yard Freestyle Relay, 400-yard Freestyle Relay, 200-yard Medley Relay and 400-yard Medley Relay.
National/International Competition
2016 Short Course World Championships
At the 2016 World Champs, DeLoof’s first major international competition, she walked away with 4 medals. She won gold on the 200 and 400 medley relays, the former of which broke the world record and DeLoof broke the American record in the 50 back leading off (26.12), and the latter of which set the championship record. She also earned bronze in the individual 50 backstroke (26.14), and gold by swimming prelims of the 400 free relay, which went on to touch 1st in the finals.
2017 World University Games
At the 2017 WUG’s, Ali earned gold in the 50 backstroke (28.07) when she died with Dutch swimmer Kira Toussaint (of the University of Tennessee) for 1st place.She also earned silver as a prelims swimmer in the 4×100 medley relay.
2018 Summer Nationals
AT the 2018 summer nats, Ali placed 2nd in the 50 back (27.88) and 7th in the 100 back (1:00.13). For her finish in the 100 back, Ali earned a spot on the 2019 Pan American Game roster.
