2019-2020

Jiang turned heads in the fall of his junior year at the annual Texas Intrasquad, going a lifetime best in the 100 fly (46.05). But he really highlighted the headlines at the 2019 Minnesota Invite, where he started off the meet by splitting 43.8 (fly) on Texas’ 400 medley relay. He continued the meet by registering life bests in the 50 free (19.46), 100 fly (44.93), 100 back (45.26), and 200 fly (1:43.89).

He also impressed at the 2020 Eddie Reese Invite when he swam a 50 underwater, touching in 19.34. At his first Big 12 Championships, Jiang took titles in both the 100 fly and 100 back, as well as 2nd in the 200 back behind teammate Austin Katz.
