Austin Temple

Austin Temple
Austin Temple is a breaststroke specialist for the University of Texas. Originally from Virginia Beach, Temple was born March 10, 1996 where he grew up to swim for Tide and attend Cox High School. Temple was a recruit who flew under the radar, but Head Coach Eddie Reese saw Temple’s potential and raw talent. The five-eleven freshman put on a show at the 2013 NCSA Junior National Championships, which earned him his way onto the 2014-2015 USA Swimming Junior National Team.

University of Texas
2014-2015
Temple finished third in the 100 breaststroke at the Texas dual meet versus Texas A&M.

National Competition
At the 2013 NCSA Summer Junior National Championships, Temple swam a 1:01.99 in the 100m breaststroke, which was impressive because there has only been four swimmers in the entire country to go sub-1:02 as teenagers. He won the 50m, 100m and  200m breaststroke races. Temple is a member of the 2014-2015 USA Swimming Junior National Team.
