2018-19

Murphy’s progress continued during his sophomore year. He won the SEC title in the 200 fly (1:40.62) and finished third in the 100 fly (45.26) at the SEC Championships. He also swam on the 6th place 400 medley relay, 8th place 200 medley relay and 10th place 200 free relays at the SEC meet.

Murphy became a 2-time first team All-American after finishing 5th in the 100 fly (45.03) and 8th in the 200 fly (1:41.97) at the NCAA Championships. He was also a member of Georgia’s 16th place 400 medley relay and 19th place 200 medley relays.

2017-18

Murphy was an immediate impact addition for the dawgs. He finished 5th in the 200 fly (1:42.84), 6th in the 100 fly (45.83) and 39th in the 100 free (44.78) at the SEC Championships. He was part of the Bulldogs’ 6th place 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams as well as the 7th place 400 free relay.

At the NCAA Championships, he swam on Georgia’s 8th place 400 medley relay and 17th place 200 medley relay. Individually, he posted an 18th place finish in the 200 fly (1:42.57) and 19th place finish in the 100 fly (45.75).
