Daiene Dias is a competitive swimmer who represents Brazil internationally.
2007 Pan American Games
At her home Pan Am games in Rio de Janeiro, Dias took bronze in the 200 fly with a new Brazilian record of 2:13.35. She also took 4th in the 100 fly, breaking the Brazilian record in the semi-final with a time of 1:00.48.
2016 Olympic Games
At her home Olympics in Rio, Dias qualified to swim the 100 fly, where she finished 14th overall.
2018 Short Course World Championships
In Hangzhou, at the age of 29, Dias won a bronze medal in the 100 fly. She not only broke a Brazilian national record (56.31), but her bronze marked the first medal won by a Brazilian woman in an Olympic event at a world championships.
