Emily Cameron
Emily Cameron was born Sept. 28, 1994 in Lititz, Pa. to parents, Paul and Lisa. Cameron is a sophomore at the University of Georgia, and was a seven-time state champion at Warwick High School. Cameron is a breaststroke and IM specialist, and qualified for the NCAA Championships as a freshman Bulldog. Aside of swimming, Cameron also ran cross-country in high school, proving her athleticism, and even ran a half marathon in 2014. The cat lover is pursuing a degree in sport management.
University of Georgia
2013-2014
During her freshman season Cameron qualified for the NCAA championships in the 100, 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM. At the 2014 SEC Championships she finished 12th in the 200 breaststroke, 13th in the 100 breaststroke and 22nd in the 200 IM.
2014-2015
Cameron has already posted a best time in the 200 and 400 IMs, times that will likely qualify for the NCAA Championships.
National Competition
Cameron swam in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials where she placed 21st in the 200 IM, 70th in the 400 IM, 70th in the 200 breastsroke and 74th in the 100 breaststroke. She also was the 2012 NCSA Junior National Champion in the 200 IM.
A 12-time High School All-American, Cameron has Georgia state records in the 50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM.
