College (Indiana)
2017-2018
In his first season as a Hoosier, Fantoni made an immediate impact. He won B1G titles in the 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay, as well as earned a runner up finish in the 200 backstroke. At NCAA’s, he again led Indiana to a victory in the 400 medley relay, Indiana’s first national relay title under the guidance of Ray Looze.
2018-2019
Fantoni continued to improve during his 2nd year in Bloomington. At the B1G championships, he defended his title in the 100 back, and 1-upped himself by winning the 200 back as well. He also helped the Hoosiers defend their title in the 400 medley relay, which broke a conference record.
They would go on to rebreak that record at NCAA’s, defending their national title and becoming only the 2nd relay ever to go under 3:00 (2:59.75). Fantoni scored individually at these NCAA’s, finishing 10th in the 100 backstroke (44.96).
2019-2020
At the Big 10 Champs of his junior year, he 3-peated as B1G champion in the 100 back, posting a time of 44.92. He also won the 200 back (1:40.31) and finished 11th in the 100 fly (46.55),
