Jadyn Jannasch is currently a junior at Louisiana State University, where the 20-year-old breaststroke specialist has represented the Tigers at the past two SEC Championships.
Jannasch swam the 50-yard freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 200 breast at the SEC Championships as both a freshman and sophomore, but she has yet to make it out of prelims.
Jannasch entered LSU’s program in 2020 with best times of 24.70 in the 50 free, 1:02.31 in the 100 breast, and 2:15.61 in the 200 breast. She’s come close, but has not lowered any of those marks so far in Baton Rouge.
This is Jannasch’s final year competing on the same squad as her brother, Jack, who’s a graduate student on the men’s team. In the classroom, Jannasch majors in mass communication.
Before becoming a Tiger, Jannasch was a First Team All-State selection all four years at Frisco High in Texas. She qualified for Junior Nationals three times as a club swimmer for Lakeside Aquatic Club.
