Kyle Gornay
Kyle Gornay is a freshman at the University of California, Berkeley. Standing 6’2″ Gornay is a versatile athlete, but specializes in the freestyle, backstroke and butterfly events. Born April 26, 1996 in Loma Lina, Calif. Gornay came to Cal after attending Redlands High school and swimming for the Redlands Swim Team along with current Cal freshman, Kyle Coan. Although Gornay hasn’t declared his major yet, he is interested in a Business degree and also has an interest in surreal real estate. In the class of 2014 Gornay was the third-ranked recruit in the nation, and the top recruit in the state of California. At the time of his verbal commitment Gornay was Cal’s second recruit in the top 10 to commit.

National Competition
Gornay is the 15-16 National Age Group Record Holder in the 200 freestyle, and also holds a few Southern California Swimming records. He was also a member of the USA Swimming Junior National Team that competed in Dubai at the 2013 Junior World Championships.
