Makayla Sargent is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally.
College
2016-17 (Florida)
Sargent finished 41st in the 400 IM (4:14.39) and 48th in the 200 fly (2:01.34) at the NCAA Championships. At the SEC Championships, Sargent finished 16th in the 400 IM (4:15.98), 21st in the 200 fly (1:59.31) and 26th in the 1650 free (16:47.54).
Sargent transferred from the University of Florida to N.C. State in the fall of 2018.
2018-19 (North Carolina State)
Sargent finished 11th in the 400 IM (4:05.81), 37th in the 1650 free (16:24.53) and 39th in the 200 IM (1:58.15) at the NCAA Championships.
At the ACC Championships, Sargent was runnerup in the 400 IM (4:06.19), 3rd in the 1650 free (16:06.58) and 13th in the 200 fly (1:59.36).
National/International Competition
World University Games (Napoli, Italy)
Sargent won the 400 IM title at the World University Games, clocking a lifetime best 4:37.95 ahead of fellow American Evie Pfeifer (4:40.16).
